American actress Daphne Zuniga was 19 years old when she appeared in her first film, “The Dorm That Dripped Blood” in 1982. Two years later, she played her first lead role as Kelly Fairchild in the slasher film, “The Initiation”. She became a household name through television roles such as Jo Reynolds in “Melrose Place”, Lynn Kerr in “Beautiful People” and Victoria Davis in “One True Hill”.

She was raised as the eldest of the two daughters of Joaquín Alberto Zúñiga Mazariegos a professor and Agnes A. Janawicz, a Unitarian minister. Her sister, Jennifer has also worked as a film actress. In 2019, she married David Mleczko, a businessman whom she started dating in 2006.
