About Daniel Ricciardo
Before making his Formula One debut in 2011, Daniel Ricciardo participated in competitions like the Formula Ford, and the Formula Three. The Italian-Australian driver has had a very successful F1 career, winning his first race in 2014 at the Canadian Grand Prix.
He began his career in the series with the HRT team before joining Scuderia Toro Rosso. He has also worked with Red Bull Racing, and the McLaren teams.
Family
His parents, Grace and Giuseppe Ricciardo, played huge roles in his rise to success. He grew up together with a sister called Michelle. Until 2016, he was in a romantic relationship with Jemma Boskovich.
Achievements
He won the Lorenzo Bandini Trophy in 2014, and received the Laureus Breakthrough of the Year award the following year. In 2022, he was made a Member of the Order of Australia.
Other Facts
His love for motorsport led him to participate in a kart competition at the age of nine years.
He’s also known to be a fan of the West Coast Eagles football team.
