About Cris Carter
Going into a college sports career at the Ohio State University, Cris Darin Carter originally wanted to play on both the basketball and football teams. However, his performance in the latter as a Freshman convinced him to concentrate on that only. He played for the Philadelphia Eagles of the NFL in the wide receiver position from 1987 to 1989 before joining the Minnesota Vikings and subsequently the Miami Dolphins.
Family Life
He grew up in Ohio, where he lived in Troy and then later in Middletown. He and his five siblings were brought up by their mother. His elder brother is retired NBA player Butch Carter. Wide receiver Duron Carter, who played in the Canadian Football League is his son. He also has a daughter.
Achievements
He was made a Pro Football Hall of Fame inductee in 2013. His NFL honors include the “Bart Starr Award” and the “1990s All-Decade Team”.
Education
Carter is a product of Middletown High School, where he played basketball and football. He studied at Ohio State University and played football for the university’s team.
