Career Highlights
At age 14, the rapper signed his first record deal with Def Jam Recordings and Casablanca Records.
In 2006, Gunz released his mixtape “The Apprentice 3 - Season Finale,” which had great online streams and increased his fame. The rapper wrote some of the original verses to Lil Wayne’s 2008 hit “A Milli.” “After Platinum Records” signed him in 2009.
In 2010, he accepted a record deal with Universal Motown and Lil Wayne’s Young Money Entertainment. Lil Wayne then featured the rapper on his hit single “6 Foot 7 Foot” in 2011.
In 2013, he released “Datz WTF I’m Talkin Bout” – his mixtape that featured Charlie Rock, Wiz Khalifa, Busta Rhymes, Juicy J, and several other guest appearances.
Controversies
He was arrested on 28th January 2012 for illegally possessing a gun. The rapper subsequently faced a two and half year jail sentence. Although he managed to produce new records during his probation in Miami, the incident has tolled his entire career.
