About Cory Doctorow
Cory Doctorow is a British-Canadian author, blogger and journalist. As an author, he is known for his science-fiction novels, including the popular “Little Brother” and “Down and Out in the Magic Kingdom”. He established himself as a digital rights activist prior to the publication of his first science-fiction book. He co-founded Opencola, a free software peer-to-peer company in 1999 and is also credited with helping to set up the Open Rights Group.
Family Life
He is a descendant of Polish and Russian immigrants to Canada. Since 2008, he has been married to Alice Taylor with whom he has a daughter.
Achievements
He has received awards such as the John W. Campbell Award, the Locus Awards, Prometheus Award and the Sunburst Award.
