Condoleezza Rice is an American politician and diplomat.
Her Highlights/Legacy
She served as the 66th United States Secretary of State under President George W. Bush and she was the first African-American woman to hold this position. She also was Bush's National Security Advisor, thus being the first woman to serve in that position, as well.
She was professor of political science at Stanford University from 1993 to 1999 and she also served as the Soviet and Eastern Europe Affairs Advisor to President George H.W. Bush.
She is the current director of Stanford University's Global Center for Business and the Economy.

She has never been married and she has no children. She was engaged to football player Rick Upchurch in the 1970's.
