Career
Smulders first worked as a model. She has said that she has negative feelings about acting, but did it because there was more opportunity than acting at the time. She began appearing on television with a guest role on the series Jeremiah. She next was on The L Word. Her first long-term acting job was on Veritas: The Quest, but the series did not go for more than a season. Smulders is most famous for playing Robin Scherbatsky in the sitcom How I Met Your Mother. She is also known for being in The Avengers.
