Davis is known for signing now famous artists like Santana and Billy Joel. Davis is known for pushing Lynn Anderson's hit “Rose Garden.” After being fired from CBS, Davis created Artista Records, where he signed many other famous artists. Davis has since been involved with other companies like J Records, RCA Records, and Sony Records.
