About Cliff Williams
Before joining the Australian music group known as AC/DC, Cliff Williams performed with a number of bands including Home which had Clive John, and Mick Stubbs as some of its members. Mostly used as a backing vocalist and bassist, the English musician joined AC/DC in 1977. The following year, he helped them to release an album which was under the name “Powerage”. He was also instrumental in the recording of the group’s 1980 album dubbed “Back in Black”.
Other works
Williams has worked with some musicians outside the AC/DC group. He helped Adam Bomb on his 1984 song titled "I Want My Heavy Metal". Other well-known names that he has worked with include Steve Luongo and Mark Farner.
Private Life
He has been married to a lady called Georganne since 1980. They have two kids named Luke and Erin Lucas who’s known to be a model and actor.
Achievements
As a member of AC/DC, he has been selected into the Australian Recording Industry Association Hall of Fame. A poll conducted by Kerrang! Magazine saw Williams named the "Bassist of the Year" in 1982.
Trivia
Growing up, he looked up to bands like The Who, and The Rolling Stones.
He formed a music group at age 13.
