About Cliff Burton
Cliff Burton, who lost his life in a car accident, is highly regarded as one of the talented bassists of his era and he is best remembered for his exploits with the Metallica band. After joining the band in 1982, he helped them to work on lots of musical projects including their first album titled “Kill 'Em All”. Some other albums that he helped the group to record are named “Master of Puppets” and “Ride the Lightning”. Prior to joining the band, he was a member of the musical group known as Trauma.

He was raised by his parents, Jan Burton and Ray Burton, together with his two senior siblings namely Connie and Scott.
Achievements
His name was posthumously included in the “Rock and Roll Hall of Fame” in 2009.
