About Christopher Daniels
Christopher Daniels is the ring name used by professional wrestler Daniel Christopher Covell. Having made his professional debut within the independent circuits in 1993, he went on to become a household name during his time with the Ring of Honor (ROH) and Total Nonstop Action (TNA) [now known as Impact Wrestling] promotions.
He also had stints with the World Wrestling Federation and World Championship Wrestling. In 2019, he signed with All Elite Wrestling, where he has also served as Head of Talent Relations.
Personal Life
He was raised in Fayetteville, North Carolina, where he also attended Methodist College. He holds a bachelor’s degree in theater. He has been married to Lisa, a substitute teacher and his college sweetheart with whom he has two children.
Achievements
He has been the winner of approximately 20 wrestling championships from a variety of promotions.
Trivia
Due to his extensive work in the independent circuit, he has been nicknamed “The King of Indies”.
