His full name at birth is Christopher John Osgood and he expressed interest in sports at a young age.
Career
In 1991, he got drafted by the Detroit Red Wings and started playing in 1993, and even though that season was shaky, he started putting in work and making an impact. In the 1994-1995 season, Osgood got the chance to contribute more to the team when he got selected to the NHL All-Star Game. He was part of the team when they won the Stanley Cup for the first time in over four decades. They went on to win the Stanley Cup again the next time.
After his time with the aforementioned team, Osgood went on to play for New York Islanders before going on to join St Louis Blues. In 2011, he decided to retire from Ice hockey even though he stayed with the Red Wings to help train upcoming goaltenders.
