About Chespirito
Chespirito was a producer, writer, comedian, screenwriter, and TV and film actor from Mexico. He has been ranked among the greatest comedians on earth. He has been recognized as one of the most renowned and cherished comedians from Latin America. Prior to his acting career, he was practicing boxing.
In 1968, Chespirito premiered his first-ever TV show titled “Los Supergenios de la Mesa Cuadrada”. He gained international recognition when he appeared in the series “El Chapulín Colorado”, and “El Chavo del Ocho”. He has been starred in numerous series and shows such as “Dos locos en escena” in 1960, “La princesita y vagabunda” in 1969, and “Las tres magníficas” in 1970.
As a writer, Chespirito’s works include “Los tigres del desierto”, and “Dos criados malcriados”. His works as a composer also include “Don ratón y don ratero”in 1983, and “Un novio para dos hermanas” in 1966.

He was educated at the National Autonomous University of Mexico.
Family
His parents were Elsa Bolaños Aguilar and Francisco Gómez Linares. He had two siblings named Horacio Gómez Bolaños, and Francisco Gómez Bolaños. He married twice. First to Graciela Fernandez (from 1968 to 1989). Then to Florinda Meza (from 2004 to 2014).
He gave birth to six children.
Death
He died of Parkinson's disease in 2014.
