Charlotte Brontë was a famous English poet and novelist.
Her Work
Charlotte Brontë and her two sisters Emily and Anne are each famous authors. Charlotte was the oldest of the three, and her masterpiece Jane Eyre was also the first written between the sisters. Though Jane Eyre was the first piece of literature to be published by the Brontë family, her sisters also wrote the famous works Wuthering Heights and The Tenant of Wildfall Hall. Interestingly, Charlotte published Jane Eyre under the name Currer Bell. Her sisters published their novels under the names Ellis and Acton Bell. This aroused suspicion and actually helped their novels sell.
