Charles is a British writer whose works are mostly based on science fantasy and fiction. Sometimes, he writes horror stories.
Personal Life
When he was young, apart from his interest in writing, he also wanted to be a pharmacist. He started writing bits and pieces of stories and at the age of twelve, he worked on his first story that was science fiction. In 1986, he achieved a pharmacy degree and got the opportunity to become a pharmacist about a year later. About two years later, he got into Bradford University and graduated after studying Computer Science. He finally focused on his writing in the year 2000.
Career
In 1987, he worked on “The Boys”. In the 2000’s, he worked on “The Merchant Princes Series” which was a compilation of nine stories as of 2021. Some of the stories were “The Family Trade” which was released in 2004, “The Clan Corporate” in 2006, “The Trade of Queens” in 2010 and “Invisible Sun” in 2021. Another set of books he released was “The Laundry Files Universe” that was a compilation too. It had about thirteen books as of 2022.
Achievement
In 2005, he released a science fiction novel titled “Accelerando” which earned him a “Locus Award for Best Science Fiction Novel” in 2006.
