About Cepillín
Cepillín was the nickname of Ricardo Gonzalez Gutierrez, a Mexican clown, television host, actor and singer. He began painting his face in an attempt to amuse children who visited him (when he worked as a dentist).
He initially became famous across Latin America for his variety show, “El Show de Cepillín”. He also performed sold-out circus shows.
Cepillín also gained fame for his songs, some of which are “Tomás”, “La Gallina Cocoua” and “La feria de Cepillín”.
Personal Life
He was a native of Monterrey, Mexico. He suffered two heart attacks within a year.
Honors
He earned a Latin Grammy Award nomination in 2017 for his song titled “Gracias”.
Death
The Mexican star died on March 8, 2021. He was 75 years old. The cause of his death has been linked to complications from spinal cancer.
