CC Sabathia’s career in brief
In 1998, Sabathia was drafted into Major League Baseball by the Cleveland Indians. Three years later, he made his first appearance in the MBL for the said club.
Sabathia spent almost eight seasons with the Cleveland Indians. In the second half of the 2008 Major League Baseball season, he joined the Milwaukee Brewers.
At the end of the 2008 season, he moved to the New York Yankees for a seven-year deal worth $161 million. In 2019, he retired from the game with career statistics of 134 wins and 88 losses in 307 games, 1.272 WHIP, a 3.81 ERA, and 1700 strikeouts in 1918 innings pitched.

In 2003, he had his first All-Star selection. He went on to have an additional five All-Star selections in 2004, 2007, 2010, 2011, and 2012. In 2007, he was awarded the AL Cy Young Award.
He has also won the Warren Spahn Award three consecutive times (2007, 2008, and 2009).
