About Caron Butler
Caron Butler played only two seasons of college football with the University of Connecticut’s Huskies men’s basketball team before entering the 2002 NBA Draft. He got drafted by the Miami Heat, for which he played from 2002 to 2004.
He spent 12 more years in the NBA, with the Los Angeles Lakers, Dallas Mavericks, Washington Wizards, Los Angeles Clippers, Milwaukee Bucks, Detroit Pistons, Oklahoma City Thunder and Sacramento Kings. In 2020, he returned to the NBA as an assistant coach of the Miami Heat.
Personal Life
He had a tough childhood while growing up in Racine, Wisconsin. By the time he was 15 years old, he had already been arrested 15 times for being a drug dealer. It was during his time at a detention center that he took to basketball. He has been married to Andrea Pink since 2005. They have four children.
Achievements
He became an NBA champion in 2011 with the Dallas Mavericks. He played in two NBA All-Star games.
Trivia
His autobiography, “Tuff Juice: My Journey from the Streets to the NBA” was released in 2015.
