About Carolyn Jones
It was during her time as a trainee at the Pasadena Playhouse that Carolyn Jones got scouted for Paramount Pictures. She did not receive credits for her first screen role as Miss Lilian Smith in the 1952 film, “The Turning Point”. Five years later, she got her breakthrough role as The Existentialist in the film, “The Bachelor Party”. She is also remembered for her performance as Morticia Addams in the television sitcom, “The Addams Family” from 1964 to 1966.

Her father, Julius Jones was a barber while his mother, Chloe Southern was a housewife. She had a sister named Bette. None of her four marriages produced a child. Her ex-husbands included producer Aaron Spelling and musical director Herbert Greene.
Achievements
She was an Academy Award nominee and a Golden Globe Award winner.
Death
On August 3, 1983, she died from a colon cancer-induced coma. She had been battling the disease for two years.
