About Carlos Hathcock
Carlos Hathcock, also known as the "White Feather", was a U.S. Marine Corps sniper who became a national hero after achieving 93 confirmed kills during the Vietnam War. He held the record for the longest sniper kill from 1967 all the way to 2004.
Personal Life
In 1962, he got married to Jo Winstead, with whom he fathered a son named Carlos Norman Hathcock III.
Trivia
He got his nickname "White Feather" because he always wore a white feather on his hat during the Vietnam War.
One of his most remarkable feats during the war was when he shot and killed an enemy sniper from a long distance with a single shot that passed through the sniper's own rifle scope and hit him in the eye.
According to him, he never enjoyed killing people but had to do it since it was his job.
