About Candy Dulfer
Candy Dufer took the music world by storm by being one of the youngest female saxophonists to win a Grammy nomination.
Early Life
The American saxophonist developed a love for the instrument by watching her father, Hans Dulfer, play his saxophone for hours. She started playing the alto saxophone at 7 and joined a local concert band, Jeug Doet. She continued her solo career as a youth until she began her band called Funky Stuff in 1984
Career
Dulfer and her band toured the Netherlands in 1987, and the young saxophonist started gaining recognition. Her debut album, which was titled “Saxuality”, was released in 1990. That album was followed by “Sax-a-Go-Go”, which was released in 1993.
Aside from her remarkable on-stage performance, Dulfer was also very graceful with her music. Some of Dulfer's best works are her 2007 album "Candy Store" and “We Never Stop”. The latter was released in 2022.
Personal Life
Dulfer married Bela Szenasi in 2014 but got divorced in 2016.
