About Bruno Ganz
Bruno Ganz was a Swiss actor who mainly starred in German-language productions of film, stage and television for almost 60 years. In 1960, he appeared in his first film, “The Man in the Black Derby”. He rose to fame through his roles in films directed by Wim Wenders, Werner Herzog, Francis Ford Coppola and Eric Rohmer. His best-known roles include Damiel the Angel in “Wings of Desire”, Jonathan Zimmerman in “The American Friend” and Jonathan Harker in “Nosferatu the Vampyre”.
Family Life
His father was a Swiss-German while his mother was from northern Italy. He was legally married to Sabine Ganz from 1965 until he died but the couple were separated later on. He had one son named Daniel. He was in a relationship with Ruth Waltz, a photographer as of his death.
