About Bruce Davison
Bruce Davison started his career as a stage performer. His first acting role came in the 1968 Broadway production titled “Tiger at the Gates”. He made his film debut the following year when he appeared as Dan in the “Last Summer”.
He has since been used in loads of movies and television shows but he’s best known for his performance in the 1971 film titled “Willard” where he played the character of Willard Stiles. He received a number of awards for playing the David role in the 1989 film titled “Longtime Companion”.
Family
His parents broke up at the age of three years. His 1972 marriage to movie star Jess Walton was annulled the following year. He and Lisa Pelikan, an actress, have a child named Ethan. In 2006, he exchanged the marriage vow with Michele Correy. Later that year they welcomed their first child Sophia Lucinda Davison.
Education
He completed Marple Newtown Senior High School before joining The Pennsylvania State University. In 1969, he graduated from New York University.
Achievements
His role in “Longtime Companion” earned him a Golden Globe Award, Independent Spirit Award, and National Society of Film Critics Award. He was also shortlisted for an Academy Award for the same role.
