About Brian Lara
Brian Lara is a celebrated Trinidadian former professional cricket player who is regarded as one of the greatest cricket players of all time. Over the course of his career, he played for teams such as the West Indies cricket team, the Trinidad and Tobago national cricket team and the Northern Transvaal cricket team. In 2012, he was honored with an induction into the ICC Hall of Fame.
Family Life
He was the 10th of the 11 children of Pearl and Bunty Lara. He became a father for the first time when his Trinidadian model Leasel Rovedas gave birth to their daughter Sydney in 1996. In 2010, Rovedas gave birth to his second daughter Tyla.
Trivia
During U.S. President Barack Obama's visit to Trinidad and Tobago in 2009, he met with Lara. Obama called him the "Michael Jordan of cricket".
