About Brett Ratner
It was while he was still a college student that Brett Ratner began attracting attention for his short films. He debuted professionally after graduating as a music video director. Artists he worked with include Madonna, Mariah Carey, Jay-Z and Miley Cyrus.
He worked on his first film, “Money Talks” in 1997. He has become famous through his directing of box office hits such as “Rush Hour”, “X-Men: The Last Stand” and “Red Dragon”.
He co-founded the film production company, RatPac Entertainment with billionaire James Packer.
Family Life
He is a son to Ronald Ratner and Marsha Presman. His grandfather was entrepreneur Lee Ratner. He is of Jewish heritage.
Sexual Assault Allegations
He was accused by six women of sexually assaulting and/or harassing them in October 2017. Following the allegations, Warner Bros, which he had a contract with, dissociated itself from him and refused to renew his contract the following year.
