About Brad Guzan
After some eye-catching performances at the college level, Brad Guzan joined the Major League Soccer in 2005 after he was drafted by Chivas USA. He continued his impressive displays and was named the league’s best goalkeeper in 2007. The following year, the American was signed by English club, Aston Villa in a deal worth £600,000.
After three years with the club, he was sent on loan to another English side Hull City. He has also played for other top teams like Middlesbrough, and Atlanta United.
International career
Guzan played his first match for the U.S. men’s national team in 2006 against Guatemala. He has gone on to play in a number of international tournaments with his country including the FIFA World Cup, and CONCACAF Gold Cup. He was part of the American team that won the latter in 2017.
Family
He has been married to a lady called Breanne since 2011.
Education
He attended Providence Catholic High School. During his time at the University of South Carolina, he played in the school’s soccer team.
Achievements
After the 2012/13 soccer season, he was named Aston Villa’s “Player of the Season”. He also won the Golden Glove at the 2015 CONCACAF Gold Cup.
