About Brad Friedel
Brad Friedel is an American retired goalkeeper who played for teams such as Newcastle United, Liverpool, Aston Villa and Tottenham Hotspur before his 2015 retirement. He joined the United States men's national soccer team in 1992 and retired from international football in 2005. In January 2016, he was appointed head coach of the United States under 19s side.
Achievements
He won the 1995-1996 Turkish Football Cup with Galatasaray and the 2002 Football League Cup Final with Blackburn Rovers. He was placed at the 30th position on IFFHS' list of theBest Goalkeepers of the 21st Century.
Trivia
On February 1, 2011, at the age of 39 years and 259 days, he made history in Aston Villa by becoming the oldest player to ever represent Aston Villa.
