About Bobby Orr
Canadian retired ice hockey player Bobby Gordon Orr’s career was so phenomenal that it earned him a spot on the sport’s “Greatest of All Time”. In the National Hockey League (NHL), he played as a defenceman for the Boston Bruins for ten seasons and the Chicago Black Hawks for two seasons. Almost two decades after his retirement from the sport, he became a player agent and subsequently founded the Orr Hockey Group.
Personal Life
He grew up in Parry Sound, Ontario, Canada. He married Margaret Louise Wood in September 1973 and they have two sons.
Achievements
He became the Hockey Hall of Fame inductee in 1979. During his time as an active player in the NHL, he won eight Norris Trophies and three Hart Trophies. He was also named by the NHL as part of its 2017 list of “100 Greatest Players” in history.
