About Bobby Hull
Considered as one of NHL’s greatest ever players, Bobby Hull started his career in his home country, Canada, before joining the league in 1957 as a member of the Chicago Black Hawks. He immediately had an impact and helped them to win the 1961 edition of the Stanley Cup.
In 1972, he was signed by the Winnipeg Jets in the now-defunct World Hockey Association league. He later played for the Hartford Whalers after the two leagues were merged in 1979.
International career
As one of the most talented players to come from Canada, Hull featured for his country on numerous occasions. After missing out on the Summit Series in 1972, he played in the competition two years later. He also helped the team to win the Canada Cup in 1976.
Family
He was born to Robert Edward Hull and Lena Cook and played together with his brother Dennis William Hull while at the Chicago Black Hawks. In 1980, he divorced Joanne McKay. During their time together they had five kids named Bart, Michelle, Bobby Jr., Brett, and Blake.
He has a daughter with Claudia Allen called Jessica.
Achievements
He won the Art Ross Trophy three times and the Hart Memorial Trophy in 1965 and 1966. In 1983, he became a member of the Hockey Hall of Fame. He has also been named in a number of hall of fames including the World Hockey Association Hall of Fame, Ontario Sports Hall of Fame, and the Manitoba Sports Hall of Fame.
