About Billy Mays
Billy Mays, also known by the nickname “King of the Pitch”, was a famous American infomercial pitchman remembered for promoting a number of products on television commercials, most notably OxiClean and Orange Glo. In 2009, he starred in the docudrama television series PitchMen.
Personal Life
He was married twice. His first marriage was to Dolores Mays, with whom he had a son named Billy Mayss III. His second marriage to Deborah Mays produced his second child, a daughter named Elizabeth. He and Deborah stayed married until his sudden death in 2009.
Trivia
Both his parents outlived him.
An autopsy on his body revealed that he died from a lethal arrhythmia of the heart. The autopsy concluded that he used cocaine few days prior to his death and that the cocaine contributed partially to the development of the heart disease that killed him.
