About Bill Wyman
Born William George Perks, Bill Wyman is an English singer, songwriter, musician and record producer. For more than thirty years (1962-1993), he performed as the bassist of The Rolling Stones, an English rock-and-roll band. In 1997, he formed the Bill Wyman’s Rhythm Kings, a blues-rock band, which he has recorded and gone on tours with.

He was born to William Perks and Molly Jeffery. He grew up in Penge, London, alongside four siblings. He has been married thrice and has four children. His second marriage to then-18-year-old Mandy Smith sparked controversy because of the couple’s 34-year gap.
Other Ventures
He has also worked as a professional author, having co-authored three books on The Rolling Stones and one on archaeology, a field he developed an interest in and has pursued avidly.
Trivia
In 2020, a bass guitar he owned was auctioned for $380,000.
