About Bill Nye

Bill Nye is an American science educator, television presenter and scientists who gained fame for being the host of the famous children's science show Bill Nye the Science Guy from 1993 to 1998. The show led to his popular nickname Bill Nye the Science Guy. He also hosted the short-lived science show The Eyes of Nye, which targeted older audience. He was a mechanical engineer before becoming a television personality.

Personal Life

He married musician Blair Tindall in 2006. The marriage ended seven weeks later after the marriage license was declared invalid.

Achievements

In addition to receiving several honorary doctorates from universities such as Johns Hopkins University, he was awarded the 2010 Humanist of the Year Award from the American Humanist Association.
