Bhagat Singh was an Indian activist.
His Highlights/Legacy
He became one of the most influential revolutionaries of the Indian independence movement and the Hindustan Republican Association. He remains a youth idol in India and an inspiration for many Bollywood films. In 2008, a statue of him was installed in the Parliament of India, next to the statues of Indira Gandhi and Subhas Chandra Bose.
His Personal Life
He was an anarchist. He was involved in the murder of British police officer John Saunders and he was convicted and hanged for this at the age of 23, in 1931.
