About Betty Buckley
American Theater Hall of Famer Betty Buckley began her career as a stage performer and appeared in her first Broadway production in 1969. After a number of breath-taking performances, the American actress made her screen debut in 1976 when she was cast as Miss Collins in the film dubbed “Carrie”.
Since then, she has appeared in many films and TV shows like “Rain Without Thunder” and ABC’s “Eight Is Enough”.
Musical career
This multi-talented entertainer is also celebrated for her great performances in the music scene. She issued her eponymous maiden album in 1985 which established her in the industry. In 2018, she dropped her eighteenth solo album which was entitled “Hope”.
Family
Her father Ernest Lynn Buckley served in the United States Air Force as a lieutenant colonel, while her mum Betty Bob Diltz worked as a journalist and dancer. She’s the sister of television director and Editor Norman Buckley. Her 1972 marriage to Peter Flood lasted for seven years.

She’s an alumnus of Texas Christian University.
Awards
She won the “Best Featured Actress in a Musical” accolade at the 1983 Tony Awards. She also won the Fright Meter Awards in 2016. In addition, Buckley has been shortlisted for many prizes including the Grammy Award and the Drama Desk Award.
