After starring as Harold Abrahams in the film titled “Chariots of Fire” in 1981, Ben Cross became a familiar face amongst many TV fans. His outstanding performance in front of the cameras and his talent earned him lots of roles in a number of movies including “Star Trek” and “Exorcist: The Beginning”.
He also performed in countless stage plays of which some include "Macbeth" and "The Importance of Being Earnest". In addition to acting he was also involved in screenwriting, directing as well as music. For instance, in the latter field, he worked with Bulgarian music star, Vasil Petrov on an album, which came out in 2007.

His original name was Harry Bernard Cross. The English actor was the son of Catherine and Harry Cross. He was married to Deyana Boneva and had two kids from his previous marriage with Penelope Butler.
Death
The actor’s death was as a result of cancer – he passed away, in August 2020, at the age of 72 years.
Trivia
Growing up, Cross took up different jobs including serving as a waiter and a window cleaner.
