Baruch Spinoza was a Dutch philosopher.
His Highlights/Legacy
He is regarded as one of the great rationalists of 17th-century philosophy, as well as one of the most popular philosophers of all time. His most famous work is the philosophical treatise "Ethics".
Through the years, he earned the nickname "The prince of philosophers". 2 of his biggest fans were Albert Einstein and Jorge Luis Borges. Einstein named him as the one person who exerted the most influence on his world view.
His Personal Life
He was born in The Hague in 1632. He was of Portuguese descent.
He died of tuberculosis or silicosis, exacerbated by glass dust inhaled, while grinding optical lense. He was only 44 years old.
