About Barbara Mandrell
During the 1970s and 80s, Barbara Mandrell established herself as one of the leading country musicians in the United States. At an early age, she started playing a number of musical instruments including the steel guitar, and the accordion. In 1969, she earned a recording deal with Columbia Records through which she recorded a number of singles including her version of the song "I've Been Loving You Too Long (To Stop Now)" which was originally recorded by Otis Redding.
In 1971, she issued her first album which was named “Treat Him Right”. By the end of 1994, she had recorded a total of 25 albums including “Spun Gold” and “Midnight Angel”.
Other projects
Aside from music, Mandrell is also known for her television roles. She started gaining attention for her role in the television show “Barbara Mandrell and the Mandrell Sisters”. She has also worked as an actress and is best known for her performance in the 1984 film “Burning Rage”.

She’s one of the children of Irby Matthew and Mary Ellen McGill Mandrell. Her sisters Louise Mandrell, and Ellen Irlene Mandrell are both well-known names in the entertainment industry.
She has been married to Ken Dudney. They became a married couple in 1967 and together they have raised three kids named Nathaniel Mandrell Dudney, Kenneth Matthew Dudney, and Jaime Nicole Dudney.
