Career
Though she was known to be shy and quiet, Barbara Hershey began acting at the age of 17 on the TV series Gidget. Soon after this, she had a few more small roles shows including The Monroes. She started to gain notice in the '60s in films including the controversial Last Summer. She has since been in many critically acclaimed films. Her long list of successful films includes Hannah and Her Sisters, The Last Temptation of Christ, and Falling Down. She has also won an Emmy and a Golden Globe for A Killing in a Small Town.
