About Avi Kaplan
Avriel Benjamin Kaplan, professionally known as Avi Kaplan, is an American singer and a songwriter who made a name for himself through his former association with the group, Pentatonix as a member. He announced his exit from Pentatonix in May 2017 after which he released his first solo project, an EP titled Sage and Stone.
Family Life
Kaplan has a brother called Joshua and a sister known as Esther Koop who became the tour manager for Pentatonix in April 2018.
Achievements
Before Kaplan left Pentatonix, he won several accolades with the group. They include but are not limited to 3 Grammy Awards, two of them for Best Arrangement, Instrumental or A Capella and one Best Country Duo/Group Performance; one Streamy Award for Best Cover Song, two YouTube Music Awards: Response of the Year and Artist of the Year and one Shorty Award for Best YouTube Musician.
His performance of Fermata Nowhere won him an ICCA Award for Best Rhythm Section.
