Ava Gardner was an American actress and singer who first gained exposure with her performance in the 1946 film The Killers. She went on to gain further recognition appearing in several famous films such as Mogambo, Show Boat, The Snows of Kilimanjaro, On the Beach, The Night of the Iguana and The Cassandra Crossing.
Personal Life
She was married and divorced three times. From 1942 to 1957, she was married to Mickey Rooney, Artie Shaw and Frank Sinatra. She never had any children.
Achievements
She received an Academy Award nomination for Best Actress for her role in Mogambo and won the 1964 Prize San Sebastián for her role in The Night of the Iguana.
