Austin Osman Spare was a popular English artist whose works were mostly influenced by the symbolism art movement. A master of the use of lines, Spare produced many sexual imageries which made him one of the most popular artists during the 1910s and 20s.
His most popular work titled “Portrait of the Artist” was bought by English musician Jimmy Page, who’s known for his time with the Led Zeppelin band.

Spare was also a prolific writer who published many books. Books such as “The Focus of Life” and “The Book of Pleasure” were among some of his most popular works.
