A trained engineer, Essandoh got dared to get on the stage and has not stopped since then. He is best known for his role as Dr. Isidore Latham in the “Chicago Med” medical series.
Early Life
Born in New York, Essandoh attended Cornell University where he majored in chemical engineering. He attended The Acting Studio in New York and began acting professionally.
Career
Essandoh started acting in 2001 but didn’t get noticed until 2006 in the film “Blood Diamond” alongside Leonardo DiCaprio.
He made an impressive portrayal of D'Artagnan in the critically acclaimed film “Django Unchained” in 2012. This New Yorker also made a name for himself on the small screen such as “Damages”, “Blue Bloods”, “Elementary”, and “Wolverine: The Long Night”.
Essandoh was part of the cast members of the 2019 superhero film “Dark Phoenix”, working with several acclaimed actors. He is also a talented playwright and co-founded the group The Defiant Ones.
