Anthony Denny was a close confidant to England’s King Henry VIII. This politician served in the Privy chamber during the latter part of the King’s reign. By the end of 1548, Denny had been made the keeper of the Palace of Westminster. A year before that, he was selected as a “knight of the shire” for the people of Hertfordshire.

He was one of the children of Mary Troutbeck and her husband Sir Edmund Denny, who served as a Baron of the Excheque. The renowned politician had thirteen siblings including Sir Thomas Denny.
This public figure was married to Joan Champernowne with whom he had twelve kids including Sir Edward Denny.
