Annette Funicello was an American actress and singer. She is best known for starring in more than 15 "Beach party" movies during the 1960's, along with Frankie Avalon, as well as recording many Billboard top-40 albums.

She began her career at the age of 12 as a member of the Mickey Mouse Club. She received a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1993.

She was married 2 times and she had 3 children with her first husband. She died from complications due to multiple sclerosis at the age of 70.
