Ann-Margret is a Swedish-born American actress and singer known for playing famous film roles such as Louise in 1961's Pocketful of Miracles, Kim McAfee in 1963's Bye Bye Birdie, Bobbie in 1971's Carnal Knowledge and Blanche DuBois in 1984's A Streetcar Named Desire. As a singer, she released the first of her over a dozen albums And Here She Is...Ann-Margret in 1961.
Family Life
She was born to Ana Regina and Carl Gustav Olsson. She married Roger Smith in 1967. She never had any children of her own.
Achievements
Throughout her career, she has won a collection of awards including several Golden Globe Awards. In 1973 she was honored with an induction into the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Trivia
She legally became a citizen of the United States in 1949.
In 2000, she was involved in a very serious motorcycle accident which left her with severe injuries.
