Angela Aguilar Álvarez trod the path already walked on by older members of the Mexican musical family, ‘La Dinastia Aguilar’ – at the age of nine, she jointly released an album, “Nueva Tradición” with her older brother, Leonardo Aguilar.
In 2018, she garnered widespread recognition when she released her debut album, “Primero Soy Mexicana” – that same year, the singer earned nominations and performed at the Latin Grammy Awards to a standing ovation. In 2019, she became a Grammy Award nominee.
Family Life
Her famous family consists of singer Pepe Aguilar (her father), singer Leonardo Aguilar (her brother), singer-actress Flor Silvestre (her paternal grandmother) and singer-actor, Antonio Aguilar (her paternal grandfather).
Her mother, Aneliz Álvarez-Alcala, had her in Los Angeles while she was supporting her father on his tour.
