About Andy Richter
Paul Andrew Richter is an actor, comedian, writer, voice actor and talk show announcer. He is known best for his work as comedian Conan O’Brien’s sidekick on the latter’s late night talk shows. They include “Late Night with Conan O’Brien” (1993-2009), “The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien” (2009-2010) and “Conan”, which began airing in 2010.
As a voice actor, he lent his voice to the “Madagascar” film franchise character, Mort.
Family Life
He was born to Laurence Richter and Glenda Swanson. He was raised alongside three siblings and is of German and Swedish ancestry.
Actress and writer Sarah Thyre was his wife for 25 years (1994-2019). She is also the mother of his two children.
Charity Causes
He has helped raise funds for Planned Parenthood, a non-profit organization which he has supported since the 1990s.
