Andy Reid is a highly rated American football coach and has been an NFL head coach for over 20 seasons.
Career Life and Records
His professional coaching career began at Green Bay Packers in 1992, where he was an offensive assistant. Reid won a Super Bowl title with the team before leaving for the Philadelphia Eagles in 1999. Thus, in 1999 he was hired by the Eagles as their head coach.
He spent 14 seasons with the Eagles, in which he led them to achieve a Super Bowl appearance, nine playoffs, five NFC Championship Games, and nine playoffs. He left the Eagles in 2012 and was hired by the Kansas City Chiefs in 2013. As of 2021, he was still the team’s head coach and has led them to a Super Bowl title, three championship games, five division titles, and seven postseason appearances. He is among the best football coaches, and as of 2021, he had three NFL Coach of the Year awards to his name.
Personal life
He has had five children, three of which are boys and two girls from his marriage. His nuclear family have been devout members of “The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.”
Controversies
Two sons of Andy Reid have been reported severally of drug addiction. In August 2012, he lost his eldest son, Garrett, to a heroin overdose.
