About Andrew Symonds
Andrew Symonds was a famous Australian retired cricket player, widely known for his time with the Queensland Bulls. He joined the club in 1994 and quickly established himself as one of the prominent members in the squad.
An all-rounder, Symonds starred for other renowned teams such as the Deccan Chargers, Kent County Cricket Club, and the Mumbai Indians before announcing his retirement in 2012.
International Career
He had the opportunity to play for the West Indies and England, but opted to feature for Australia. He made his debut in 1998 during an ODI game against Pakistan. With the team, he won two Cricket World Cups, and participated in a number of Test games.
Family
He was raised by his foster parents Barbara and Ken alongside a sibling named Louise Symonds. He was married to Brooke Symonds.

Symonds attended All Souls St Gabriels School, and All Saints Anglican School.
Trivia
As an author, he was known for his book titled “Roy: Going For Broke”.

He starred in the film titled “Patiala House” which was released in 2011.
Cause of Death
The Australian cricket icon lost his life through a car accident. He was the only victim of the accident, which happened in Townsville, Queensland.
