About Andre Ethier
Andre Ethier is a former award-winning American baseball outfielder. He played for the Los Angeles Dodgers from 2006-2007. He received the 2009 Silver Slugger Award and the 2011 Gold Glove Award. He retired in 2017.
Early Life and Career
Ethier had six other siblings. His father Pierre was a former minor league player. He started his amateur career while attending Arizona State University and was drafted by Oakland Athletics in 2001. He spent nearly five years in the minor league before being traded by the Dodgers. The baseballer then went on to play over 1400 games in 12 seasons.
Personal Life
He married Maggie Germaine who was a former gymnast at Arizona State. They have three sons and one daughter. In 2014, they were the first married couple to be inducted into the Arizona State Hall of Fame.
Achievements
The Phoenix-born baseball player was inducted into the NECBL Hall of Fame in 2010 in honor of his successful junior college baseball career.
